The course is designed to help FE library service/LRC managers to
get to grips with the issues involved in assessing the impact of their
services on teaching and learning in the college. The approach is
equally applicable to core services and innovatory projects. The day
is designed to help participants move beyond traditional performance
indicators and to be able to demonstrate what difference their services
are making in the college. A small group approach will be used to
ensure that participants are able to concentrate on assessing the
impact of an aspect of their service that is of current importance
or concern. At the same time, participants will be able to assess
the usefulness of the approach to other aspects of their service.
