Reasons to attend.
The past two decades have seen massive changes in the system of post-16 education and training whose implications may still not be fully appreciated. Managers in FE will manage better - and have more effective influence with the major players on the regional and national scene - if they have an in-depth understanding of the history of these developments, the political and economic pressures behind them, and, not least, the background to them in the mysterious world of Whitehall.

This is an interactive one-day course primarily for second and third tier management in colleges, and those who aspire to management posts. Others, including those responsible in both FE and HE institutions for the management of the FE/HE boundary, and perhaps also the staff of local LSCs, Government Offices and RDAs involved with FE, may also find it of interest.
