Reasons to attend.
Effective corporate governance is a matter of lively public and media concern in the wake of the Enron and Worldcom scandals. With the publication of the Higgs Report, the spotlight is temporarily off Colleges, yet Higgs' recommendations have important implications for all Governing Bodies as well as for all company Boards. Ensuring a close and positive relationship between the Principal as CEO and the Board of which s/he is also a member remains one of the more sensitive areas of the Principal's role. This course is designed for new and experienced College Principals, Chairs and other Governors and Clerks to FE Corporations. Only those keen to participate fully in a frank and constructive debate should attend.
