Training opportunities for senior managers and governors
Senior managers and governors have a crucial role to play in setting
strategies for teaching and learning and ensuring that staff are
supported as they strive to develop their teaching and learning.
However, few get the opportunity to reflect on how they can improve
systems and practices to to maximise effectiveness for the benefit
of learners.
This programme can be tailor-made to enable all senior managers
and/or governors to discuss how teaching and learning delivers the
strategic aims of the colleges. It may or not be focused towards
inspection – depending on the needs of the college.
The programme could include:-
- The strategic role of the senior manager in developing teaching
and learning strategies
- Working with managers and staff
- Putting the Common Inspection Framework into perspective
- Reviewing systems and practices
- Developing plans of action
