Inspection of colleges can be a daunting process. If handled well, it can be motivating for staff and provide an opportunity to review systems and processes. If the run up to inspection does not go well, then it can be very demoralising and have a knock on effect when you get to the inspection proper.
At Learning etc we have a number of ways in which we can help you prepare for inspection.

We have courses running at regular intervals designed specifically to help you prepare your college and the staff in it for the inspection process.

7th April 2003 in London, with Kevin Corrigan as the trainer

These and other consultants who also act as inspectors can come to college to provide you with customised pre-inspection in-house training, either generic or specific to programme areas. This can be arranged at a time convenient to you and your colleagues.

But we also do more. We also offer a full pre-inspection service.
We can provide you with experienced consultants across any programme area to give you objective advice on teaching and learning. We can offer this as a mock inspection, or if you prefer, brief our consultants to act as critical friends and provide positive and objective advice to your staff. If you have some very specific needs, we can accommodate those.

We can also help you with your annual self-assessment report
Many colleges find it very hard to make objective judgements for their annual self-assessment. Our consultants have much experience of putting together self-assessment reports and making judgements to allow you to reflect positively the work of your college. Some have worked as senior managers in colleges where they have had this brief; others come from the angle of the inspector; many have had both jobs!

And after inspection
Some colleges may have to put together Post-Inspection Action Plans. Our consultants have extensive experience of working with institutions to develop effective Plans that will address the issues identified from inspection and also meet the requirements of the LSC.
